Hello & Welcome to The Chequers of Streatley
Colin and Gorry welcome you to the Chequers, a traditional country pub sitting next to St. Margeret's church in the small village of Streatley.
At the Chequers you will find a warm welcome from our team along with a fine choice of five real ales, wines and spirits, soft drinks and tea or coffee if you prefer.
We serve good, home made, hearty food as well as lighter meals and chunky sandwiches. Colin's Steak & Ale Pie is famous locally (Always copied, never duplicated), along with daily changing specials to be tempted by. All are meals are made fresh from order.
We also offer Bed & Breakfast should you wish to stay in the area. There are five bedrooms, each proved with a television and en-suite bathroom. Streatley village is just 4miles north of Luton town centre and so is handy for Luton Airport and easy reach from the M1.
Saturday night is live music night. Why not come for a meal and be entertained by brilliant bands and vocalists. Details of who is playing are posted in the pub and available online, via Calendar. On the first Sunday of each month we have live jazz with 'The All-Stars'.
On Tuesday evenings we hold our regular quiz. The atmosphere is fun and there are cash prizes to be won.
